Japan-affiliated Telco, InfiniVAN as one with the DICT CICC Training Program

TAGUIG CITY – As part of its mission to help and support government agencies, the Japan-affiliated Telecommunications Company, InfiniVAN, Inc. proudly sponsors the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (DICT-CICC) first session conduct of Critical Infrastructure Assessment Training Program at the National Cybercrime Hub, Taguig City on June 29, 2023. 

Said training program of the DICT-CICC aims to prepare its staff and personnel while collaborating with its industry partners to which InfiniVAN is included, for any eventuality that would affect the safe use of information and communications technology in the country. 

With this, InfiniVAN’s Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Alberto “Abet” Espedido, conducted a lecture on Submarine Cable System Infrastructures in the Philippines on its participants which comprises representatives from different government agencies in the country such as the Philippine National Police, the Philippine Navy, the Philippine Army, and other essential government offices.

The discussion was filled with necessary information about the current connectivity technology in the country where Mr. Espedido highlighted the Submarine Cable Technology and the  Philippine Domestic Submarine Cable Network (PDSCN) which InfiniVAN initiated along with its two telco partners back in 2022. 

He also mentioned the importance of reliable connectivity and communication when it comes to local and national cyber security, mentioning the efforts between the private and public sectors in fighting cybercrimes. Moreover, Mr. Espedido shared his professional knowledge of how this technology works and what makes it great composition towards secured digitalization. 

Said training program aims to hone its participants to become more aware of the technology and the measures needed to support the country’s critical infrastructure. InfiniVAN through Mr. Espedido gladly extended its assistance in this mission by providing essential awareness to the public servants and making them informed about its use and benefit in securing the country.
