MAKATI CITY – BBIX Ph, the joint-venture company of BBIX Inc. and InfiniVAN Inc. officially launched its first-ever overseas Borderless Group of Peering or BGP Meeting last November 6, 2023, at New World Hotel.
BBIX Ph, an InfiniVAN Company was officially launched on October 2, 2023, a company that aims to provide the first-ever Internet Exchange partnership to the Cable TV Operators, ISPs, and Telecommunications Companies here in the Philippines; emphasizing local and remote areas.
Part of the company’s vision is the adaptation of the BGP Meeting which has happened to BBIX Inc. for the longest time since its establishment. The goal of this event is to gather and unite various technology companies, business leaders, experts, and industry professionals to connect, learn, and share their insights on the current Internet landscape for both the global and local scene.
Various executives, thought leaders, and decision-makers from different technology industries gathered at this event to learn and share advancing ideas, especially on the Internet, Internet Exchange, and Peering.
Speakers from local and international digital companies shared one stage to discuss their insights on the current technology trends in the country and provided their views on how to improve the Philippines’ digital landscape and infrastructure to deliver high-quality services.
This year’s BGP in Manila Panel Members are composed of Mr. Alejandro Aquino (InfiniVAN Inc.); Mr. Alberto Espedido (InfiniVAN Inc.); Mr. Joel Dabao (Kabankalan CATV); Mr. Raphael Ho (Digital Edge); and Mr. Yutaro Fujii (Fastly). And Mr. Achie Atienza (PhNOG) as the meeting’s moderator.
Also present at the said event is the Department of Information and Communications Technology – DICT‘s – Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center – CICC (DICT – CICC) Undersecretary Alexander Ramos.
