DITO and InfiniVAN Forge Strategic Fiber-Sharing Partnership to Strengthen the Nation’s DigitalBackbone

Taguig City, Philippines — Two of the country’s leading telecommunications players, DITO Telecommunity Corporation and InfiniVAN, Inc., have officially entered into a Master Facilities Provisioning Agreement (MFPA), a landmark, reciprocal fiber-sharing arrangement designed to enhance nationwide network resilience, operational coverage, and digital capacity.

The ceremonial signing was held at the DITO Business Hub, Udenna Tower, Bonifacio Global City, and was attended by key executives, Mr. Ernesto R. Alberto, President and Chief Executive Officer, and Ret. Major General Rodolfo Santiago, Chief Technology Officer of DITO Telecommunity; and Mr. Shigeki Nakahara, President, and Mr. Valenbert Juan, Chief Financial Officer of InfiniVAN, Inc.

Under the MFPA, both DITO and InfiniVAN will grant each other access to their fiber optic facilities that includes submarine, inland underground, and aerial dark fibers, enabling both parties to leverage existing infrastructure more efficiently while expanding redundancy, resilience, and service continuity across the country.

“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to building a more resilient, inclusive, and future-ready digital Philippines,” said Ernesto R. Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity.

Echoing the message of DITO, Shigeki Nakahara, President of InfiniVAN, Inc., shared, “This collaboration is founded on trust and mutual benefit. By combining our strengths and sharing resources, DITO and InfiniVAN can deliver broader coverage, greater network stability, and a stronger foundation for the country’s digital transformation.”

The MFPA defines ownership, access rights, maintenance responsibilities, and service restoration procedures under specific Facilities Agreements that will be executed individually. It focuses on network efficiency and redundancy, aligning with global best practices in infrastructure sharing and environmental sustainability.

“Through this strategic fiber-swap arrangement, we’re not just optimizing assets, we’re strengthening the backbone of Philippine connectivity to ensure reliability, reach, and sustainability,” added Alberto.

By working together, DITO Telecommunity and InfiniVAN reaffirm their shared vision of advancing a stronger, more connected Philippines, empowering communities, businesses, and industries through reliable and world-class telecommunications services.
