For its second Roadshow activity, InfiniVAN Inc.’s Wholesale Domestic Group visited Legazpi and Naga in the Bicol Region for a four-day client engagement, reinforcing the company’s commitment to reaching Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA) and expanding internet access to unserved and underserved communities.
The team began its Luzon leg in Legazpi, where it engaged with local Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Cable TV Operators. On the second day, the team proceeded to Naga, where InfiniVAN met with key connectivity stakeholders for a roundtable discussion focused on regional connectivity challenges and viable solutions that the company can provide.
What is the Roadshow?
The Roadshow is one of the company’s initiatives designed to bring industry knowledge and connectivity solutions closer to regional stakeholders. It serves as an organized regional promotional and strategic partnership campaign, bringing together clients, partners, and industry players from different parts of the Philippines for meaningful conversations on the future of connectivity.
Now in its third year, the Roadshow has continued to expand its reach to areas beyond major metropolitan centers—bringing industry insights, infrastructure opportunities, and future-ready connectivity solutions closer to communities across the country.
About the Roadshow
Led by Engr. Cio Ko, Vice President of Sales for the Wholesale Domestic Group, together with the Wholesale Domestic Business Unit, the team visited two key locations in the Bicol Region—Legazpi and Naga—to introduce solutions that can help local ISPs and network operators address evolving connectivity demands and stay informed on industry developments.
The Roadshow featured a lineup of industry experts who discussed topics designed to deepen attendees’ understanding of connectivity, infrastructure, and digital transformation.
Engr. Cio Ko, Vice President of Sales for the Wholesale Domestic Group, discussed “Empowering Business Growth through Fast, Stable Solutions.” Atty. Jonathan “Jon” Altubar, Board of Directors Corporate Secretary and Senior Vice President for Legal and Regulatory, presented “Building Regional Capability through Konektadong Pinoy.”
Debbie Escoto of the OSP Team discussed “Unlocking Luzon’s Fiber Backbone Project: What InfiniVAN’s Infrastructure Expansion Means for Local ISPs and Network Operators.” Ronald Santos, Chief Technology Officer of 1Wan, presented “From Connectivity to Capability: Building Scalable, Secure, and Managed Digital Capabilities.” Meanwhile, Arianne Santiago, Sales Director of BBIX Philippines, discussed “The Power of Internet Exchange & ASN as Growth Enabler for ISPs.”
Representing the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) Region V were Engr. William Ramon L. Luber, Engineer III, Enforcement and Operations Division, and Engr. Ryan J. dela Cruz, Engineer I, Enforcement and Operations Division. Engr. Luber also served as the keynote speaker.
Through these discussions, attendees gained valuable insights into the factors that enable reliable and sustainable connectivity beyond major cities, supporting the goal of extending digital opportunities to far-flung areas.
Securing Partnerships
The Roadshow’s efforts translated into meaningful results, with the team returning from Bicol with strengthened partnerships and newly signed contracts.
InfiniVAN secured a total of 15 contracts with Internet Service Providers and Cable TV Operators from the two locations. These agreements demonstrate the growing confidence of local operators in InfiniVAN’s commitment to delivering fast, stable, and reliable fiber connectivity, as well as solutions designed to address the evolving needs of regional network providers.
More than business agreements, these partnerships represent a shared commitment to expanding access to reliable connectivity across the Philippines.
